Pet supplies FAQs

I want to crate train my dog. How much time is too long for him to be in his crate?

It depends on the age of the animal. For crate training you will need to start with a short amount of time and work your way to a longer period of time. Eventually you will be able to leave your animal in his crate for up to eight hours.

How often should my pet get a checkup at the veterinarian?

It depends on the age of your animal and its health history or medical problems. For animals that do not have any medical problems yearly checkups should be fine. But do not forget to keep your animal up to date on all medications and regular vaccinations. Both are necessary for a pet’s healthcare.

I am going to be adding a puppy to my family. At what age should I have it spayed or neutered?

The right age depends on the breed and gender of your puppy. For most canines it is recommended that spaying or neutering takes place after the completion of routine puppy vaccines. This is around five months of age.
